Short Trip to Vegas

It was a short trip from Long Beach to Vegas. Jet Blue was delayed an hour. My first delay this trip. No problem. I am not in a hurry to go and put money into the pockets of the casino owners.

Nice Airbus. Good service for such a short hop less than one hour.

I had plans to go to Boulder Dam. However, I could not get the early AM bus, so leaving at 10 AM puts me back downtown Vegas an hour too late to make my flight.

I will roam around the casino area and see if I can meet someone who will admit to the fact that loosing your money on a chance to make more is a bad deal when the odds are not much in your favor. Logically one has to admit that all thse elaborate buildings were actually built by losers; all the people who lost money here on false hope. Sin is savery, and gambling is a slave addiction when you it becomes your god. The obsesson to win blocks out all logic, and you spiral down as each card turns; a dice rolls or a coin drops. Tough message here, I'll admit!

My fellow traveler over here was convinced his whole life would change once he "Hit it Big"

He did not have a good answer for where he was going ona scale of 1-10. His response was that once he hit the jackpot he would be in heaven, and since he was only 25 he'd worry about the other Heaven [if there is one] when he "Got to be an old dude like [me] you."
Well I asked for it playing before a rough crowd like this.
No problem. At least I can say I got several very good inexpensive meals.

I did get to leave a Bible with a young lady setting next to me asking what I was writing about. Don't know if it will take, but se did put the Bible in her bag and thanked me.

Leaving this afternoon for Salt Lake City.
PS I'm still trying to post the video I made in Bermuda, but having trouble uploading. I will try to add one from Huntigton Beach CA after I post this. So don't worry if things are a bit out of order.
